This file can be downloaded and printed. Select download after
reading. After download rename from bulletin.bbs to bulletin.txt
and open with any text editor.

WIN95/98 default telnet program does not support downloading of files.
The Terminal option allows you to log all text to a file called
telnet.log and save to the default directory on your computer. When
you start logging you are prompted for a name and saving location.
You should name the file igmhints.txt and save it to a directory where
you can find it. Once you have viewed this file, stop logging.

If you have a hint or secret and wish to share it, I'll add it giving
you credit for helping all of us.

Other Places.... (In Game Modules)

Players have been known to drop carrier on purpose in WT-LORD to try
to get their character hung online so other players can't attack them.
"This usually leads to their character being DELETED from the game by
the Sysop."

Some IGMs now have a time limit and will kick you for inactivity if
you just sit at a menu and do nothing. You'll get a 60 second warning
then out! An error file has also been added to keep a log of callers
who drop carrier in the IGMs. This is in-addition to the WT-LORD
error file. It allows a Sysop to quickly identify problem players.

Many of the IGMs are inter-active with other IGMs. What you do in the
linked IGMs may have an outcome in other IGMs, experiment.

The inter-active IGMs are Dodge City, Mad Mage's Tavern, Rue Morgue,
Our Town, Mad Dog, Witch Doctor's Hut, TwiLight Zone, Indian Joe's
Horse Barn, wcXFiles, and The Evergreen Cemetery.

The keys to press and passwords are shown in capital letters but they
aren't required to be entered in caps.

The IGMs are very powerful enhancements to the regular LORD game.
You can advance very quickly using them if done properly. They are
displayed in a random order. Don't just start at #1 and go down the
list. Experiment each time you play as your level will make a
difference in the value or worth of each one. It is easy for a first
time player to get a million or more experience points on the first
day of play. An experienced player may even be able to slay the
Red Dragon on the first day. When you see it happen don't think it
is from cheating because it can be done!

These hints are for WT-LORD IGMs produced by Joseph Watson of the
Farpoint BBS and only work in the registered or Freeware versions.

The Brewery v1.0

Press 'T' and tip the waiter after 5 beers and keep the cops from
busting you.

Press 'B' and buy the band a round of beers, gets you a few rewards.

Secret Level: Eulee's Gold Mine (Bluebird & Keritz)

Press 'E' at Main Menu. Boom!!! BOOM!!! You'll find millions in gold
here! The higher the level the more you'll find.

Fighting Savages can be very rewarding experience wise. A level 11
player can get 4 to 5 million experience points if they are strong
enough to beat the savages.

The Ultimate and to the point IGM! Have a Fairy? Release it here and
bring a dead player back to life! Now you can save a Fairy for later
use or another day? Press 'O' and visit the Fairy Bank! You can bank
two Fairies for when you need one!

Press 'B', you bite the Mad Dog.

Comment: Fluff? Try them 3 times each anyway, never seems to hurt.
Get some extra Forest Fights and maybe a little extra experience.

If you have the Dog Toy from the Evergreen Cemetery you can hire the
Mad Dog to attack another player multible times.

Evergreen Cemetery, press 'P'.

Bonus:

Visit the Teepee and Squaw! If you have the Yellow Backpack found in
the TwiLight Zone Press 'T' and double the gold in your Bank Account.

Bonus:

The most dangerous and controversial addition to the game of LORD! The
second version is in place now. You can take away a Dragon kill from
another player but you run the 50% risk of losing a Dragon kill of
your own. The current version allows the use of this secret once per
game vs. unlimited attacks in earlier version. The rules of usage are
simple, you must have 5 or more Dragon kills and the person you use it
on, must also have 5 or more Dragon kills.

If you have the Porcupine from the Evergreen Cemetery press 'A'.

TwiLight Zone: v1.1

Bonus: 3 extra forest fights just for pressing 'R' at Entry Menu!

These all work at Main Menu:

Tell a Lie: Tell one and get 10,000 extra experience points.

Things to save for use in other IGMs:

Yellow Backpack used in Indian Joe's Horse Barn

Secret Level: Area 51

Press 'M' password DREAMLAND

To get the real benefits of this level you'll be required to have a
valid security I.D. The rewards are great!

Want to get at another player for some revenge or show your nasty
side? Press 'E' for Eboli Virus (found in Rue Morgue) and do some
real damage to that player!

Alien Phaser, press 'P' and if you have the correct items you'll
Nuke a player! Unbelievable damage to the player, far worse damage
than from the Eboli Virus and The Imhotep High Priest combined.

Alien Phaser ingredients:

    Photon Tube
    DNA Sequencing
    Alien Power Source

Alien Phaser damage to other player:

    Charm is cut in half
    Strength - 400
    Defense - 400
    MaxHp - 225
    Gold in Hand cut in half
    Gold in Bank cut in half
    Changes their Sex
    Loses between 10 and 25 percent of their experience

Random Event: Glass Closet

You need a Bottle of Windex and Paper towels, found in this IGM.

Reward:
  
    55 Strength
    60 Defense
    100,000 Experience Points

Secret Level: StarGate

Press 'S' if you have a Star Chart.

This could be your ULTIMATE goal! Many items are required to get at
all of the features of this level including a password for one option!

You'll find the Imhotep High Priest at this level. If you have the
Book of the Dead and a Pyramid Crystal he will attack another player
for you.

Damage to player:

    Cuts their Charm in Half
    Takes away 35 Strength Points
    Takes away 25 Defense Points
    Takes away 35 Max Hit Points
    Takes away half the Gold from their Bank Account
    Kills their Horse if they have one

A bit of caution should be exercised when visiting the Imhotep, if
you have a certain item in your possession he will bash your ass
instead of your victim's!

Bonus:

Press 'S' Spend the night at Sarcophagus: Password: MUMMY (cyberdemo)

Stolen I.D.? This is the place to use it! Press 'A' and give a player
a new name!

Secret Level: Fairyland

Press 'A' password FAIRYLAND

You might even catch a Fairy here or learn other IGM secrets. 

If you have a Magic Wand from the Rue Morgue Press 'M' and be
rewarded by the Fairies.

Main Menu Option: Elevator

You'll need an Elevator Token to get on this one, no free rides!
Going Down can be very rewarding! Think about it!

New features with v1.1b4 at Main Menu:

Secret Level: Virtual Bank of Joe

Press 'J' and use The Virtual Bank of Joe. Unlike most banks this one
is not insured. You could lose some of your savings here!

Secret Level: Disco

Press 'D' and go to the Disco.

You'll need the "funny duck" found in the Rue Morgue to get in.
A real fun and very rewarding Disco! Bring a "USED CONDOM" found in
the Evergreen Cemetery, don't disappoint the Fat Girl!

Visit the Bathroom but be careful, you never know who may break the
door down and violate you!

Secret Level: Green Roadside Park

Press 'K' if you have the "Car Keys" found in this IGM. Join in the
fun with Joe and Amy in their Toyota 4 Runner!

Rewards:

       250 Gems
       1,000,000 in Gold
       1,000,000 in Experience Points

Bonus:

If you find the "Blue Skull" press 'B' at main menu and get gold and
experience points.

Secret Level:

Press 'W' at main menu and Beam aboard the Enterprise, password 'TREK'
You can easily get a million experience points here and a half million 
or more in gold.

While at this secret level you can safely press 'V' (Venus Drug) once
and build up your character. Pressing more than once will damage your
character. Be careful, there are a few traps and if you press the
wrong keys you won't be too pleased at the results.

Penile Implant and or Penis Extender:

"Speak to Morticia" Press 'F' for Penile Implant or 'X' for
Penis Extender and you'll get at least 10,000 experience points for
each one you use.

Nipple Ring: (Bill Johnson)

"Speak to Morticia" and press 'N' same rewards.

Another tip from Bill, while "Speaking to Morticia" say a few dirty
words to her and she'll get off!

Comments:

You bet she will! And it will appear in the Daily News! But if you
say the wrong dirty words you will be less charming or worse! You
might even press 'D' since you're here anyway. Morticia has nothing
to hide, show her what you have!

Got a 150 in Charm or more? Press 'L' and get on your knees!

Ace of Spades can be used to Resurrect a dead player.
"Speak to Morticia" 'S' and press 'A' and enter player name! The
player is brought back to life for you to kill or be killed by
another player online if you aren't fast enough!

Comments:

This is quite different from pressing 'R' at main menu and
Resurrecting a player if you have the right amount of gold.
That player is quite safe from attack by another player until the
Resurrected player comes online. Usually this is done by a friend or
partner. Completely legal and honest, no big deal. However, once in a
while someone gets the less-than-bright idea of opening a duplicate
account and brings their main character back to life. That's no big
deal either, I just delete them, no big deal.

Other Keys to Press at Main Menu:

'F', "I feel your pain." Doesn't appear to do any damage.

'K', damages Hit Points, unsure if it ever helps.

Press 'T' "Tease Mordrid" if you have an "Unused Condon" in the
Evergreen Cemetery. You may not like the punishment but you will love
getting about a 100 Strength and Defense points plus a few gems and
some other goodies.

Buying Candy 'C' option, once there press 'B' and reply Y or N for
some Bubble Gum.

Secret Level:

The Candy Shop Backroom, Press 'M' and if you have a "Meatlocker Key"
and have your way with another player. The rewards:

    50 Gems
    250,000 Experience Points
    1,000,000 Gold deposited to your Bank Account

Press 'M' and "do yourself." (Camf)

Enter your own name and get:

    1 Kid
    25 Charm
    250 gems
    1,000,000 in Experience points
    2,000,000 Gold in hand

Comment: Only seems to work with male players. Sexist? DOS LORD
always favored male players and the tradition continues in WT-LORD.
As Seth Able Robinson would remind you "Don't be caught wearing any
dresses." He also used to say "Goats are nice but don't have sex
with them."  Now works for female players. 

Secret Level:

Corn routine, at main menu, press 'U'. Enjoy the toilet! If you have
the Scuba Gear press 'D' and get a "Heavenly Halo" to barter away or
save for the Evergreen Cemetery.

Secret weapon:

If you have the Aids Virus, at main menu press 'D', password
'AIDS VIRUS', and infect another player! It my be possible that this
could backfire on you! The damage to the other player seems to be
loss of Charm and half of their gold.

Secret level:

Ultimate level, at main menu, press 'D' password 'LIFE' and meet
The Tall Man!  If you have a Bible (from the EverGreen Cemetery) and
the Iron Lung and Key of the Dead you can safely complete this level.
The rewards are great!

Evergreen Cemetery: v2.1

Bonus: At main menu

Press 'A' ten times and get ten extra forest fights. Now you could
just press '1' and do it the quick way!

over if you have a 150 or more in Charm. hmmm.... perhaps more Charm?

10 extra "Digs" in the Cemetery, Press 'G' if you have The Glowing
Crystal.  

Secret Level:

Magical Key, at main menu press 'U' if you have an unused condom and
get to The Temple of Angus. You'll get a reward plus a Skeleton Key
to use in The Witch Doctor's Hut.

Bonus:

Press 'B' and get a reward! Unsure of rewards.

Bonus:

Press 'H' if you have the Heavenly Halo from the Rue Morgue, and visit
Venus. You'll get at least one kid and perhaps much more.

Secret Level:

At main menu, press 'C' password 'DEATH', The UnderWorld! You can get
10 extra forest fights and 20 gems with this routine. Once at the
UnderWorld menu press 'S', "the Scent of something dead." Press 'S'
again, "the AIR smells fresh." Do it with the Dead press 'G', Do you
believe in Ghosts, Press 'D' again and then 'E' and see the Exorcist
message, and you have your forest fights and gems.

Bonus:

Sleep in The UnderWorld if a casket is available. Press 'CCC' and exit
the game safely for the night.

Added to v2.0

Secret Level:

If you find The 23rd Psalms while digging, save it! At Main Menu
press 'M'. The Valley of Death, many rewards at this level including a
Black Diamond! You can sell it from the Main Menu after leaving the
Valley of Death and get five million in gold times your level.
Level 2, 10 million and a level 12 gets 60 million in gold!

Up Country Fishing: v1.7

The rewards of fishing are far greater by eating your catch rather
than selling it. Of course not all fish are edible and you'll be
better off by selling them.

New with v1.7 at main menu press 'E' and receive 5 extra casts!
Press 'U' and get 1,000 experience points. Press 'U' more than once
and you will get a sunburn, not good!

Secret Level: 

While 'X' brings you to "The Green Door" 'X' isn't the password.

At main menu press, shift backslash (\).

This secret level is based on the porno movie of the same name.
Try one of the actors names or perhaps who wrote the IGM!
Female players should use 'JOSEPH' or 'WATSON'
Male players should use 'MARILYN' or 'CHAMBERS'
'CHAMBERS' seems to have better results for male players.

Press 'J' and visit the Blues Brothers. (Jason Flythe)
Blues Brothers runs from 12:01pm Thursday to 11:59pm Sunday.
Jake and Elwood await you.

Press 'L' and visit Lisa Marie! (Jason Flythe)

Press 'E' 'P' 'L' 'C' 'B' 'J' 'U' & 'O'.

Some are fluff and do nothing others may give rewards.

Press 'W' and enjoy meeting Stephanie! or Walt!

Reward:

      10,000 Experience Points

Press '$' shift 4, Crap game, win some gold, sometimes.

v2.9 allows you to (S)lam 15 beers!

Visit the Drug Store:

Press 'L' and then 'P' and get a little surprise and bonus!
Pressing other letters might get the sheriff on your back!

Go to High School:

Get an A+ in Sex Ed Class, do the "unspeakable!" At main menu visit
"High School" press 'T' and 'Y' of course! Get 10,000 experience
points and 10,000 in gold per level.

Comment: This was a sure thing, was....
With v2.8 things are a bit different! You may not be able to perform
as before. A few other secrets have been added to this upgrade!

New secret added to High School, press 'H' and go to Home Ec. Get
some goodies and once in a while "enjoy" one of the students.

Visit the Jocks: Have a "Gerbil" from the Rue Morgue? Talk to Uri
and press 'G' and make Uri happy!

Rewards:

   100 Gems
   15 Charm
   $1,000,000 in Gold
   100,000 Experience Points

Visiting the Cheerleaders:

Secret level:

Press 'C' upon entering this option and meet Alecia. If you have the
"Yellow Rose" from the Evergreen Cemetery, press 'P' and get a reward.
The "Yellow Rose" turns into "Yellow Panties" in the Evergreen
Cemetery, that you can sell for a $1,000,000 in gold per level.

Bonus:

Press 'L' for Lendy. If you have the "Purple Rose" from the EverGreen
Cemetery press 'P' and take a peek! Unsure of reward in this IGM but
the "Purple Rose" you had in EverGreen turns into "Pink Panties"
that you can sell for a $1,000,000 per level.

Secret:

Once in a while the school principal will appear and give you a
warning. Sometimes he just loses it and has a good time with you
(good for him not for you) and you lose your gold plus your dignity.
If you have the Redneck Rage from the Rue Morgue your good ol' Cousin
Jim Bob will appear and give the perverted principal an "Old fashion
ass whippin." You limp away with several million in gold.
The principal could appear more than once so be prepared.

Love Bug

If you have the "Benwah Balls" from the Rue Morgue press 'B' and make
Cherry glow!

Reward:

I had to go to the author to get this one straight! Try pressing 'D'
for a message, fluff? You can also press 'O' 3 times for some extra
rewards, more than 3 times and you WILL do damage to your character.

Bonus: Main Menu

Go to Church 

Extra forest fights (30) very helpful at the higher levels (10-12),
make a donation. If you donate enough to bring the donations over a
million dollars you get the extra forest fights and the missionaries
get the aid to help the world's needy! Don't come empty handed.
Make a donation regardless!

The most frequently missed questions when Going to School:

Castrated Bull = STEER

Bonus:

Press 'H' and 'B' and get some extra defense, not a lot (4 per letter)
but it all adds up with the other IGMs.

Press 'J' and gain Hit Points.

Bonus: v2.9 (Zurock)

Press 'S' and Stoke the Fire, gain Defense and Attack Points.
Press 'F' and grab an Ember from the Fire, lose some Experience.

Bonus:

Press 'C' and peek thru a crack in the wall and see the Blacksmith's
wife. Get 10,000 in gold, 1,000 Experience points, and 25 Gems. A real
easy way to get to level 4 after defeating the Red Dragon.

The Wishing Well: v1.2

Bonus:

Press 'S' and lay a Fairy, get at least a 1,000 experience points
and get your money back!

Mad Mage Tavern: v2.6

Hiding for the night:

Works 50% of the time if you bring at least a million in GOLD.
Once in the IGM "Flirt" with either the Waiter or Waitress.
Type 'SLEEP' and you exit the game in a "SAFE" manner. You can't be
attacked from the regular LORD game.

Visit the Bathroom and Press 'D', get 15 Defense points if you cough
up "A Huge Floater."

If you have the "Green Blow Fly" from Dodge City and the "Green Puss"
from the Rue Morgue you can set a real cool trap for the next person
to use the Bathroom! They lose half of their "gold in hand" and half
of their charm. The best part is they get a message telling them who
set the trap! If we could only see their face! Press 'I' to activate.

Have a Drink: Be sure to have two of everything and get a few extra
rewards, an extra skill point for starters!

Talk To Mage: A certain word that I won't print might get you a little
extra reward once in a while.

Bonus:

FBI Badge, press 'B' and get a million in gold per level.

Medical Dictionary press 'M' and get a million in gold per level.

Press 'C' and visit the Cancer Man, have a smoke and enjoy more
hit points!

Press 'F' and describe Fox Mulder.
Press 'D' and describe Dana Scully

Replies to use: SEXY, HOT, BABE, FINE and etc.
You'll get a few extra rewards to help your character.

Certain "other" phrases could get you 100,000 in Gold per level.  

Press 'G' Gillian Anderson is a LOVE GODDESS!

Press 'B' and visit Bwanna Dick's Room.

Bonus: (Dell Bond)

Press 'B' and see how Lucretia McEvil sizes you up! Does she like
Weenies? Special bonus for female players, a kid, sometimes.

Bonus: Secret Level (Zurock)

Press 'D' and visit the Fat Man! Press 'S' and 'K'

Comment:

A Fat Man with tuna on his breathe is not a good sign! ('K' Kiss)

Secret Level: Main Menu.

Press 'L' and visit Lucretia McEvil's Room.
There are many secrets at this level.

Try pressing 'F' and 'X' for a little fun. If you have the Potion Jar
from The Evergreen IGM try pressing 'H' for a little more enjoyment.
After pleasuring Lucretia press 'E' if you have a skeleton key from
The Evergreen IGM. This only works if you have 150 or more in Charm.
The reward? A kid! Having kids means extra forest fights per day.
50 kids and 50 extra forest fights each day.

XXX Video from the Rue Morgue press 'X' while visiting Lucretia and
be rewarded with 1 lay, 10,000 Experience Points and 20 Max Hit
Points. Another trip to the author to get the rewards correct.

Severed Chicken Head (found in Rue Morgue) press 'C' and get a
BONUS from Lucretia! (Bill Johnson}

Like the skeleton key, you need a 150 or more in Charm.

Once again a visit to the author to get the rewards correct. 1 lay,
20 Max. Hit Points and 20 Defense Points.

Press 'M' at Main Menu and see the Monkey! (Dell Bond)

Secret level: v2.9

This is more of an observation or strategy rather than a secret.
Once in a while you will 'Strike it Rich' while digging and get maybe
a million or two in gold. If you 'Strike it Rich' while at level 8
you get 15 million! Plan accordingly for that one.

Jabber tips by Bluebird and WitchDoctor.  This should help clear up
some of the mystery of the Jabber Room.  There are no real tricks or
secrets to these.

The basic guidelines are:

In order to fight somebody you must first challenge them.  This is
done by typing f .

The player name can be abbreviated...here are some examples:  
           f Bluebird
           f Blue
           f B

Even that last example will work as long as there is only one player
currently in jabber with a name that starts with 'B'.

The player that was challenged can accept the challenge by typing
f .  If the player that was challenged does
not wish to fight, he DOES NOT have to.  It is not possible for two
players to fight in jabber unless both of them are willing.

Once the duel begins, one of the players will get "first strike".
This player has three options ---  Attack, Run, and Yell.
The other player has no control at this point except the opportunity
to yell.  When the player with first strike attacks, then the second
player gets the same options (attack, run, or yell).

The one key thing that most new players do not realize is that unlike
attacking someone in the fields or in their room, they ARE allowed to
use their "special skills" on a player of equal level.  
          
    Here are some examples:
             Player A is level 6 and player B is level 7 
                  Player A can "skill" player B 
                  Player B CANNOT "skill" player A

             Player A is level 6 and player B is level 6
                  Player A CAN skill player B
                  Player B CAN skill player A

There is no way for a player to unwillingly be drawn into a fight.
He or she MUST accept the challenge or there will be no fight.

VERY USEFUL NON-FIGHTING TRICKS


A player can give another player a horse.  This is usually done to
keep the horse from getting killed in the forest while doing your
fights.  The command for this is:

                 horse   

Gems can be passed from one player to another.  This is usually done
by partners to help build up one of the characters.  

The command for this is:

                 gem

There are a few action words built into the jabber portion of the
game. They are all used by typing just the word(s).
