Notes And Other Information

In order to log onto Farpoint BBS using Netscape (v3.0 or newer) or Internet Explorer (v3.0 or newer) you must download this version of the Wildcat! Navigator. Although this special version is backward compatible and can be used for standard dial-up or Winsock connections to any Wildcat! 5 server, you won't be able to connect to other Wildcat! 5 servers using the new HTML because the current shipping Wildcat! 5 server does not support logon via Netscape or Internet Explorer.

With this new browser independent version of the Wildcat! Navigator, Internet users can log onto Farpoint BBS via Netscape or Internet Explorer and still have access to the message, file, and chat clients of the Wildcat! Navigator.

Note that the only difference between the Wildcat! Navigator versions for Windows 3.x and Windows 95/NT is that 16-bit OLE support is included in the Windows 3.x version. Both Windows 95 and Windows NT have OLE support in the OS.
